Tessho - Top-level specially selection Madake Shinai (from Shinbu)
A real Japanese Madake Shinai from Shinbu. Material selection, processing, and assembly are all completed in Japan.
Introduction
This shinai is crafted from rare Japanese domestic Madake bamboo (from Bungo, Oita Prefecture) specially selected for its decisive qualities. Only those that meet various criteria, such as weight and tip position, are carefully selected. These Shinai, which account for only about 10% of the total, are truly "master" Shinai, prepared by Shinbu for the most skilled Kendoka.
Highly resistant to bending and pressure, and limited flex during strikes, they deliver a solid, heavy, and exceptional feel. A one-of-a-kind Shinai that combines ruggedness with delicacy.
Both Koto and Dobari type available. The weight of Tessho Shinai may vary from 530g~540g, which is not an optimal choice for Shiai. However, it will bring you excellent experience in daily practice and Jigeiko.
